Week 5 Part B

Post Reach is the amount of people or possible consumers that have seen your ad or Facebook Post. Post engagement is when people actively like, comment, or share your post. Knowing the difference is important because the people who are engaging your post are more likely to be a future consumer of your product. Post reach only gives you a number, but when someone likes and comments on your page, that number is automatically humanized. You can look deeper into their profile and provide things they might need or specifically like. Your algorithm is also boosted when people actively engage your posts, so when that happens, your reach expands.

Businesses can use Facebook Insights to better serve their customers to see what posts they like or engage with more than others. If a business listens to their customers through their engagement, or non-engagement, they can either continue to grow in the direction their customers are pointing them in, or they can change things up in order to try to receive a better sense of engagement. Furthermore the business, will be able to learn what their customers really care for through the engagement of their posts. When a customer likes or comments on a business, a face is automatically linked to the customer and you can dig deeper into their wants and needs.
