Adding human interest to a post can appeal to people's emotions because people like to feel included in the process of the thing that they are buying. An emotional connection to the business can help first time buyers turn into regulars and hopefully inspire them to share the blog post with their friends, creating more "regulars" down the line. It makes sense to add personal touch to a post when the product is something a customer can be emotionally attached to, such as a piece of clothing, art, or even a toy. But it wouldn't make sense to add an emotional touch on all things you are marketing. For example, medical equiptment might not be something you would add an emotional touch to, although you can add it onto medication. Pharmaceutical companies are known to play on personal emotions when trying to get patients to ask their doctors about a certain medication that could possibly save their lives.
